Organisational Development in the AI era: designing adaptive systems with the AI-OD framework
Artificial Intelligence is now present in almost all corporate agendas, but in most cases it is not producing the expected value. Organisations are investing in tools, platforms and automation, but the results often fall short of expectations: processes are not really simplified, internal adoption is weak or forced and the return on investment is struggling to materialise. The problem is not the technology itself, but the way it is designed and integrated into the organisation.
This webinar was created to answer a concrete question: how to transform AI from a technological experiment to a real lever of organisational and operational value?
WHY PARTICIPATE IN THE WEBINAR?
The focus of the webinar was on the design of incentive systems and the risks of misuse of the Why today it is not enough to “use AI”. We need to design systems in which technology, people and processes evolve together in a structured and sustainable way. During the webinar you will understand why many AI projects fail even when the technology is right, what organisational errors undermine digital transformation and how to build a model capable of generating real adoption and measurable value.
Attend the webinar and discover how AI can stop being an uncertain investment and become a concrete lever of organisational transformation, capable of redesigning the way people, processes and decisions work together.
WHEN
28 May - 17:00 - 18:00 hours → For registrations write to rsardo@alveria.it by Friday 25 May 2026.
What you will see in detail
During the webinar we will go into how Artificial Intelligence is really changing the way organisations function, going beyond the purely technological dimension. The goal is to understand how to implement it without failure, resistance or ineffective investment.
The 3 mistakes that make AI projects fail
We will analyse the main causes that lead many AI initiatives not to generate value, even when the technology is right. In particular, we will see how projects often fail because they do not start with a clear understanding of the value in processes, because they focus only on technical efficiency without considering organisational and human impact, or because they adopt overly ambitious and simultaneous approaches that cannot be sustained by the organisation.
The AI-OD paradigm: technology + organisation
AI cannot be treated as a mere introduction of digital tools. It is, to all intents and purposes, an Organisational Development intervention. The AI-OD framework allows the transformation to be read in an integrated manner, simultaneously considering technology, processes, organisational structure and behavioural dynamics.
We will see why without this alignment, AI risks remaining underutilised or failing to make real and lasting impacts.
The KSA model: how work with AI is changing
We will deepen the Knowledge, Skills & Abilities model to understand cow work in organisations changes in practice. Knowledge becomes more and more supported or delegated to intelligent systems, many operational activities are automated or assisted, while the human contribution shifts towards judgement, interpretation and strategic decision-making. It is therefore not a question of substitution, but of a profound reconfiguration of work.
Efficiency vs. Strengthening: where to really invest
Not all applications of AI generate the same kind of value. We will analyse the difference between efficiency-oriented interventions, which reduce time and costs, and enhancement interventions, which increase decision-making capacity and the quality level of work. Understanding this distinction is crucial for building a balanced roadmap, capable of generating immediate results without losing sight of the long-term competitive advantage.
How to build an AI Pilot (without the “Big Bang” approach)
Many AI projects fail because they start out too large and complex. We will see an alternative approach based on targeted pilots, selected for impact and manageability. We will work on the logic of controlled experimentation, rapid cycles of testing and learning, and progressive involvement of people, so as to reduce risk and increase the likelihood of real adoption.
Concrete examples on HR, Finance and Operations
We will bring real cases to make the models presented concrete. We will see how AI is applied in talent management and processes HR, in automation and decision support in finance, and in optimising operational flows in the company. The aim is to show what really works in organisations and what mistakes to avoid.
