Rethinking talent: how to unleash the potential spread across organisations
Organisations today increasingly struggle to find 'talent', but the real problem is not the shortage of capable people: it is the difficulty in recognising, activating and enhancing the potential already present. Traditional HR systems, rigid job descriptions and evaluation models focused only on expected results tend to render invisible transversal competences, informal skills and talents not explicitly required by the role.
The result is an enormous dispersion of value:
- skills not detected
- underutilised persons
- potential that does not emerge
- motivation that is reduced
In parallel, there is a growing need for more flexible organisational models based on trust, autonomy, internal mobility and continuous development.
WHY PARTICIPATE IN THE WEBINAR?
To discover how to overcome an 'elitist' view of talent and switch to a model of Talent Management widespread, where people's potential is not only selected, but above all unleashed.
The webinar will help you understand:
- because talent is often already present, but not visible
- how organisational systems influence (or limit) the expression of competences
- how to design contexts that foster the growth and emergence of potential
By participating in the Webinar you will discover
- because talent often does not emerge in traditional evaluation systems
- how to design an 'inverted pyramid' that enhances potential from below
- the role of context in making talent visible or invisible
- how to avoid the distorting effects of elitist meritocracy
- which organisational levers to activate to unleash widespread talent
WHEN
-
- 14 May - 17:00 - 18:00 hours → For registrations write to rsardo@alveria.it by Friday 17 April 2026.
What you will see in detail
Focus on tools for emerging and exploiting potential
We will deepen how to make visible skills that are often not mapped from traditional systems: soft skills, transversal skills, informal experiences and latent talents that can generate value for the organisation if correctly intercepted.
Advanced approaches to job architecture and internal mobility
We will explore more flexible organisational models, as job lattice and non-linear growth paths, which foster the horizontal and vertical development of people and increase the organisation's ability to adapt to change.
Models for reading competences beyond the formal role
We will see how to overcome the logic of the traditional job description to adopt more dynamic systems of skill mapping and competency analysis, capable of intercepting what people really know how to do, even beyond the boundaries of their current role.
