April 3, 2026
Conference on the Research Results of the HR Innovation Observatory
HR Innovation Observatory - Technological developments together with profound demographic, social and geopolitical transformations raise questions about the future of the world of work and the HR Directorate: what scenarios lie ahead for the next few years? How will it be possible to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into work and organisational models in a positive way for humans? How to rethink HR practices and careers to make them sustainable in the face of longer working lives? In all this, what roles will the HR Directorate be called upon to play?
The speed of change requires structured reflection on these issues. In order to avoid moving towards undesirable and unsustainable scenarios, it is necessary for the HR Directorate to define already today the direction in which to move, leading the evolution instead of being overwhelmed by it.
The HR Innovation Observatory of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano, during its annual conference, proposes to analyse these issues using data from Research 2025-26, starting from the presentation of megatrends of change in the world of work and the role of the HR Directorate, to understand the steps to be taken to design scenarios for the future of work in which the human being retains its centrality.
You will be able to answer these key questions
- What new HR process management approaches and models can support people and organisations in overcoming today's challenges?
- What are the main macro-trends that will impact the world of work and the HR Directorate in the next 10 years?
- What is the state of health of the labour market in Italy?
- Artificial Intelligence: what are the impacts for HR departments and people?
