Are we really moving? And in which direction? It is difficult to say, because the intensity of the shocks of this time makes one's sense of direction falter.\u00a0It feels like being in the vortex of an acceleration that is constantly updating,<\/strong>\u00a0that we do not govern, as we search fearfully for a foothold to hold on to\u00a0to withstand such a sudden and unexpected braking movement<\/strong>. Not only that, because when between one movement and another we catch a few moments of precarious stability\u00a0we wonder if it is not rather a\u00a0go back<\/em><\/strong>a time that rewinds the tape of development. Are we perhaps\u00a0leaving the orbit of civilisation<\/strong>\u00a0- designed by our grandparents and parents, desired by the younger generations - that seeks the good of humanity, a fairer world in which human rights, respect for nature, decent and sustainable work flourish?<\/p>\n

The symptoms of this shrunken rationality are numerous:\u00a0geopolitics trudging perilously along<\/strong>\u00a0between old conflicts and new wars, driven by authoritarian and autarkic drifts;\u00a0globalisation that after promising equality and prosperity<\/strong>elimination of social inequalities and the defeat of poverty, is discovered naked, deprived of free trade and the governance of production chains;\u00a0the already fragile health of international organisations and institutions<\/strong>\u00a0which are reduced to 'non-places', with no identity and as insubstantial as the agreements, treaties and conventions they produce, and from which one can exit with a simple click, as easily as uninstalling a\u00a0app<\/em>\u00a0from the smartphone;\u00a0the architecture of checks and balances of powers<\/strong>\u00a0on which the most advanced democracies have been skilfully built, crumbles in the face of the earthquake caused by breathtaking forms of despotism;\u00a0the willingness expressed, until 'yesterday', by companies to transform<\/strong>\u00a0their raison d'\u00eatre and with it capitalism, to make it inclusive and sustainable, which now, like snow, seems to be melting in the sun, leaving greed for profits and rethinking diversity as a value.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Is the world really in reverse gear or are we witnessing its movement adjustments that seek the path of just civil, economic, human progress? In order not to get out of this orbit\u00a0the engines of the future need to be fuelled, or perhaps even switched on, by\u00a0hope<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0A hope nourished by commitment here, now, in the present of each one's life and together. A hope that makes waiting 'alive', because\u00a0provides impetus and orientation for civil, economic, personal action.<\/strong>\u00a0Because hope is not passive, it is not submission or flight. Rather it spurs us to\u00a0re-building the conditions of possibility of the life we want<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is in the frame of this articulated reflection that the seventh edition of the Offida Film Festival will take place, in the days\u00a019, 20 and 21 September 2025,<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Serpente Aureo Municipal Theatre<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0the Spazio Vino regional wine shop<\/strong>\u00a0which will host its convivial moments.\u00a0The event will propose,\u00a0<\/strong>after\u00a0the opening of the proceedings\u00a0<\/strong>and the world premiere screening of the new film produced by Lavoroperlapersona Foundation event<\/a>three in-depth sessions and discussions, <\/strong>in each of which a\u00a0lecture<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0projection<\/strong>\u00a0of a film and a\u00a0round table.<\/strong><\/p>\n


OPENING<\/strong><\/h2>\n

After an introduction by business journalist and writer\u00a0Maria Cristina Origlia<\/strong>\u00a0and the greetings of the Mayor of the Municipality of Offida and the President of the Fondazione Lavoroperlapersona ETS, the Film Festival 2025 will be opened by the lecture (via remote connection) by prof.\u00a0Enrico Giovannini<\/strong>\u00a0(Roma Tor Vergata | ASviS) entitled\u00a0The challenge of inclusive and sustainable capitalism: a broken path?\u00a0<\/em>This was followed by the world premiere screening of the new film produced by the Foundation with direction and music by\u00a0John Panozzo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I SESSION -\u00a0Decent and sustainable work: environments, leadership, tools<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n


<\/em><\/strong>Designing and implementing decent and sustainable work is the primary responsibility of the company and its managers. Rediscovering models and tools that make it possible is the path to take with conviction and courage. The sustainability of work goes through its environments, takes shape with the care of relationships and with participation, antidotes to the spread of a toxic culture. Sustainability is demanding of leadership: it buffers it, asks it to step out of the rhetoric of 'all things being equal' and show its human face.

Technology and artificial intelligence are inseparable from the organisation of work. Will the beauty and fullness of work gain positions or are they destined to shrink and impoverish to make room for the advantages of uniformity and the impersonal? What vocabulary will we have to learn and what rules will we have to write in order to make the human flourish in the new revolutionary working environments?

<\/em><\/strong>The challenge we have is to turn on the engine capable of getting us back on the road to the integral development of the person and the meaning of our actions. In work, this means rediscovering the reasons and meanings of its transformation; it means confirming the will of a personal and organisational commitment driven by hope, because it is possible to build a work worthy of the person.
