IX SEMINAR ON WELCOME - SESSION I | GROWTH: Is it an end in itself? How to reconcile economy and welfare?
How can the idea of "sustainable development" that has been trying to make its way for nearly forty years break free from the fetters of a paradigm that does not generate integral well-being and mortgages the future? Is the path drawn by investors and scholars of an "inclusive and sustainable capitalism" realistic?
IX SEMINAR ON ACCOUNTABILITY - SESSION II | NEEDS: The emergence of inequality. What priorities?
Inequalities continue to grow, indeed they accelerate their divisive pace that creates processes of human and social marginalization, distancing the horizon of equity and signaling the urgency of appropriate interventions to respond to old and new human and social needs induced by planetary transformation. How to meet these human and social needs while taking care of the negative externalities generated so far? Are there practices to be inspired to reorient political and economic action?
IX SEMINAR ON ACCOUNTABILITY - SESSION III | WORK: Work and Life. Redefining the work experience?
The profound transformation of work proposes outcomes that are difficult to imagine and to define. How to make constraints and freedom dialogue? How to accommodate the repositioning of value that the younger generations (but not only) assign to work? How to recognise and protect emerging forms of work? Is digital an opportunity to redefine work and provide it with a new framework of meaning?
